Levi Leipheimer won his third overall title at the Tour of California on Sunday with a safe ride in the race's final mountain stage.
Astana's Lance Armstrong, in his second race back after three years away from the sport, finished the stage with the peloton and retained his sixth-place spot in the overall standings.
