Report Vick approved for home confinement

A government official says imprisoned NFL star Michael Vick has been approved for release to home confinement. Vick's lawyers have said they expected him to be moved any day into a halfway house in Newport News, Va.

But the official says there's no bed space, so Vick could be released to his Hampton, Va. home as soon as May 21st.

UnbelievaBULL Two Chicago Bulls icons die on the same day

Johnny "Red" Kerr, the former Chicago Bulls coach who spent more than three decades as a broadcaster for the team, died Thursday.

He was 76. Kerr's death is a double blow for the Bulls, following the death also Thursday of Norm Van Lier, one of the most popular players in Bulls history. Van Lier was 61.

New York Knicks disgruntled Stephon Marbury agree on buyout

The New York Knicks are free of Stephon Marbury, and the troublesome point guard is free to join a playoff contender.

Marbury was waived Tuesday by the Knicks, ending a turbulent five-year stint in which the former All-Star couldn't lead his hometown team to a single playoff victory.

Lakers hand Cavaliers first home loss of the season

Lamar Odom led the Los Angeles Lakers with 13 of 19 shooting, scoring 28 and grabbing 17 rebounds in a 101 to 91 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The win snaps a 24-game home winning streak for the Cavs, and gives them their first home loss of the season. Kobe Bryant scored 19 while LeBron James had an off-night with 5 for 20 shooting, scoring 16.
